Charity Zumba at the Wiltener Kultursommer

The Wilten Summer of Culture stands for joie de vivre, openness and cultural participation, across all generations, free of charge and in the centre of the city. For 20 days, Wiltener Platzl and Kaiserschützenplatz are transformed into an open stage for cultural diversity, culinary discoveries and communal experiences in public spaces.

On 2 July, the time had come: MOYO and Argentinian Zumba trainer Vanesa Villalba de Leitner hosted a charity Zumba event. Whether you’re a Zumba master or a beginner, having fun and doing good at the same time – that was the motto! In return for voluntary donations, which will go towards the education of disadvantaged girls in East Africa, everyone danced for all they were worth in sweltering temperatures.

Not even an approaching thunderstorm, which fortunately spared the Wiltener Platzl, could dampen the mood. Together we moved to the hot South African rhythms of the music, worked off our energy and had a lot of fun. Of course, there was also a cocktail stand, which provided refreshments during the breaks.

Many thanks to everyone who took part!
